MY 2024 IN RETROSPECT

Another year has flown by, a year of surprises and opportunities that came my way. Here’s the capsule summary.

My 2024 publications:

  • Article entitled “The Science Behind Apollo in Retrograde” in January/February 2024 Analog Magazine
  • “Who’s a Good Hellhound?” in 99 Fleeting Fantasies
  • “Jurassic Dinomancy” in The Dance

Most astounding educational opportunity:

  • a week spent in the New Mexico Desert for Cat Rambo’s novel writing workshop: The Wayward Wormhole

  • Getting the word that “Apollo in Retrograde” won the Sidewise Award for Alternate History
  • Being invited to speak to a local science fiction society
  • Attending an Indian wedding

What’s Ahead for 2025:

  • A door I thought was definitively closed may unexpectedly reopen
  • A new Timidity Rex murder mystery
  • More book review columns devoted to works by talented writers
  • A trip to Worldcon in Seattle
