MY NEXT STORY WILL BE IN BENEATH CEASELESS SKIES

I am beyond thrilled to announce that a story I wrote about imprisoned stone giants will be appearing soon in Beneath Ceaseless Skies. This is the award-winning fiction magazine dedicated to bringing readers top quality stories set in fantasy worlds that are not our own. I’ve been reading BCS for years and thoroughly enjoying it.

For those wondering how I made this sale, here are some stats for you:

This is my 7th time submitting a story to BCS over the course of 12 years.

My first version of this story was written 18 months ago and critiqued at the first Wayward Wormhole in Spain. I rewrote it and got critiques from other beta readers. After 2 more rewrites I sent it off to BCS earlier this year.

The version to be published is 2.5 times longer than the first one. I tend to write short.

When published, the story will have the 3rd title I came up with.

All this is to say that it can take me a while to get a story into shape. It’s not unusual for writers to go through several drafts before their work is ready to be read. I will have more to say when it comes out.
