WRITING IN A CASTLE IN SPAIN

I’m spending some time this month living and writing in a castle in the Pyrenees. Castle de Llaes dates to the tenth century. How cool is this?

For all my envious writer friends, it’s part of an intensive course of study called the Wayward Wormhole, masterminded by the audacious Cat Rambo.

Like any castle that has been around for many, many centuries, it needs thick stone walls and formidable defenses in addition to a commanding place on the high ground.

Water is important, too. This castle has a cistern and a well beneath this bucket.

What does a writer write about in a castle, you might wonder. Stay tuned for my next blog post and this, too, shall be revealed.
