HAPPY THANKSGIVING FROM CASTLE DE LLAES

Here’s the view from my bedroom window this morning, something for which I am extraordinarily thankful. The snow is accumulating on the Pyrenees. My being here is all due to the Wayward Wormhole run by Cat Rambo. Let’s hope the Wormhole will continue to nurture science fiction, fantasy, and horror writers for years to come. When there is news about next year’s dates, instructors, and probably a different location, I’ll be sure to let everyone know.

A few days ago, I had some time between writing stories, so I took a bit of a hike from the castle in the background to another promontory on a gorgeous Fall day.

While surrounded by views like these, I wrote a first draft of a story about stone giants. But that’s not all. I’m also working on a short murder mystery set in a castle. It will feature the same characters I already used in a story to appear next month in The Reinvented Detective, They include a miniature tyrannosaurus who perches on the the detective’s shoulder. I can hardly wait for everyone to get to read it!
